of Chugoku faces the Sea of Japan, while the Southern faces

'Heiwa Memorial Park' (Hiroshima City) This
park was built as a symbol of peace. In the
park, you can see the Atomic Bomb Memorial Dome, as well as many other monuments
dedicated to the memory of those who perished durning the bombing.

'Kurashiki beauty district' (Kurashiki City)
This district was designed to imitate Edo
Period Japan; buildings with white walls and black tile roofs set among
rows of willow trees.

Tottori is located in the western part of the
main island of Chugoku. Along Tottori's North side runs a
beautiful coastline, while the grand Chugoku
Mountain Range runs along the Southern border.

'Tottori-Sakyu(sand dune)' Facing the sea
of Japan, Tottori Sakyu is the largest sand dune in Japan. Exciting.

'Rurikoji five-storied pagoda' (Yamaguchi

KAGAWA-KEN |
- Brief Description:
Kagawa is at the center of the first national park
in Japan. The prefecture has a mild climate
and scant rainfall throughout the year. The Seto Bridge, between Shikoku
and the mainland, is one of the longest bridges in the world.
Attractions:
'Konpira Shrine' (Kotohira -cho) is one of
the most famous shrines in Japan because it 1368 steps leading
to the inner Shrine.

- Brief Description:
Tokushima is easily accessed from abroad, since it holds Kansai International Airport. The Awa
Dance Carnival that is held in Tokushima on August 12-15 has a history
spanning nearly 400 years.
Attractions:
At the 'Awaodori Hall' (Tokushima City) visitors
can experience the traditional Japanese Awadori dance all year
round.

Ehime is located in the Northwestern part of Shikoku,
bordering the beautiful Seto Inland Sea. The Mandarin oranges
grown in Ehime are famous throughout Japan.

KOCHI-KEN |
- Brief Description:
Kochi prefecture is a deep mountainous land with
vibrant blue seas. Coal mining is a integral part of the Kochi
economy.
Attractions:
'Sunday Market'(Kochi City) At the Sunday Market,
visitors can purchase a wide variety of items. From antiques to clothing to pets, it can all be found there. The market was first established
more than 300 years ago. These days, it is open from 5a.m. to 6p.m. in April
through September, and from 6a.m. to 5a.m. in October through March.
